Isn't India north? Back to the Southern Ocean for the Volvo Ocean Race fleet |
| Leg 2 of the Volvo Ocean Race got underway on Saturday in mixed conditions. See the photo gallery here. Last night all eight boats were heading for the Southern Ocean. Meanwhile in the Vendee Globe the three leaders have broken away and last night were negotiating the Cape Verde islands. This morning the race has a new leader in Jean le Cam. The leaders in the Portimao Global Ocean Race finished three hours apart after 35 days at sea. Ian Williams has scored an AC job. | | On Friday ISAF voted on the equipment for the 2012 Games including a new women's match racing keelboat. Goran Petersson has been re-appointed President of ISAF.
