Tough passage to India Top navigators look ahead to leg two of the Volvo Ocean Race |
| This morning the Vendee Globe leaders are passing the Canary Islands. Alex Thomson spoke to us about his retirement. While they are into 'the trades' now, the route to the Doldrums is far from straightforward. With leg two of the Volvo Ocean Race starting on Saturday so navigators Wouter Verbraak and Jules Salter look ahead at this complex new leg. Yesterday Green Dragon went sailing but came back with damage. This morning Ian Walker updated us on their campaign. Team Russia's Nick Bubb sends his personal update. | | At the ISAF Annual Meeting there has been a vote favouring the 29erxx as the women's doublehander. Toby Heppell gets the views about this from former 470 sailor Carolijn Brouwer (who sits on ISAF's Equipment and Womens Committees).
