Wallop!
Sean Langman and Martin Thompson take a plunge
The crash test of Sean Langman's Wot Rocket speed sailer didn't go entirely according to plan earlier (see all the pics). Following part one of our look at Hugh Welbourn's new Dynamic Stability System - a retractible foil to leeward - in part two today we look at its applications and go for a sail. This Sunday's Artemis Transat start will see one more Open 60 on the start line and one less Class40. Sacre bleu! French sailor Guillaume Florent is the leader - by a point - at the Finn Europeans with Ben Ainslie holding third. The Portimao Global Ocean Race has a new German entry.

To subscribe to thedailysail costs just £24.99 for a year. Special offers include a FREE 10 day trial.
